Halima has over 4+ years experience working with various issues including relationship/marriage conflicts, eating disorders, transgenerational trauma, racial trauma, homelessness, familial conflicts, being a first generation college student, religious and cultural barriers, etc. Halima works with individuals from a holistic approach, taking into account all aspects of the individual’s life (social, relational, emotional, mental, physical, cultural and environmental) that may impact their overall wellness. Her counseling approach also includes emotion focused therapy, where clients learn how regulate and cope with negative emotions in more healthy ways and create more positive narratives for themselves.
