Asad Ali

Hello, I'm Asad. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion and am currently pursuing a Master of Pastoral Studies with a focus on Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), actively honing my skills under the supervision of Munsif Mubarak through the TIIP model of therapy.

My journey in Islamic education began at the Mathabah Institute under Shaykh Omer Subedar, where I studied Fiqh, Aqeedah, Tafsir, and Usool ul Quran. I continue to deepen my Islamic knowledge through courses at the Taqwa Institute and the Irshad Center for Hanafi Studies. This blend of secular and spiritual education informs my holistic approach to psychotherapy, emphasizing the synergy between mental, physical, and spiritual health.

I bring over a decade of experience as a health and wellness coach, coupled with three years as a Peer Counselor at the Naseeha Muslim Youth Helpline, giving me unique insights into the diverse issues affecting the Muslim community. My work with Purify Your Gaze as a coach for those struggling with porn and sex addictions has particularly prepared me to tackle such challenges sensitively and effectively within the Muslim community.

In therapy, I employ a combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and narrative therapy, alongside Traditional Islamically Integrated Psychotherapy (TIIP). This approach ensures that I meet your unique needs in a way that respects and incorporates your cultural and spiritual values.
