Sarah Yousuf is a registered social worker and psychotherapist with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers (OCSWSSW). She earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto, specializing in Health and Mental Health. In addition to her academic pursuits, she completed her Ta’leem Al Quran Certificate at Al Huda Institute Canada, focusing on Quranic interpretation (Tafseer). To deepen her religious education, she relocated to Egypt for studies in Arabic and Islamic Studies.
Sarah's therapeutic approach integrates her secular and religious knowledge, offering a comprehensive approach to psycho-spiritual well-being rooted in the Quran and Sunnah. As a Black Muslim woman, she brings a unique understanding of intersectional identities and the challenges faced by marginalized individuals. With over a decade of experience working and volunteering with diverse Muslim communities, she understands the unique challenges that Muslims face in their everyday lives. Her aim is to create a supportive and non-judgemental space that highlights each person's strengths to assist them in reaching their goals.
