I am a licensed psychologist (LP) and licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Georgia and licensed psychologist and Health Service Provider (HSP) in North Carolina. I am also a national certified counselor (NCC). Additionally, I hold a certification in providing clinical supervision as a Certified Professional Counseling Supervisor (CPCS) for individuals pursuing their license towards professional counseling by the Licensed Professional Counseling Association of Georgia (LPCAGA).
Currently, I also serve as a Clinical Director for Counseling services at Raksha Inc. (a non-profit South Asian agency helping survivors of violence). I also serve as a mental health provider at Noor Family Services (another non profit providing advocacy and support services for victims of domestic violence).
I have experience in working with a variety of clinical presenting concerns, such as depression, anxiety, acculturation issues, adjustment to college, trauma, racial/cultural identity, career issues, anger management, stress management, interpersonal/dating violence, and suicidal/homicidal concerns.
My clinical areas of interest include anxiety and mood disorders. I also enjoy providing supervision to practicum/internship students and individuals on track for licensure in mental health field.
My approach to therapy is integrative with principles of evidence based cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, and relational-cultural approaches.
