I am Co-founder and the Clinical Director at Salaam Recovery. My work includes treatment of substance abuse disorders, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders. I look forward to helping Muslims from all walks of life to recover from the disease of addiction. In addition to helping individuals, one of my goal is help the community at large, and work on the de-stigmatization of addiction in the Muslim community. Muslims should no longer suffer from addiction in silence.
I have over 7 years of experience and have worked in both the hospital setting and private practice. I previously worked at Alexian Brother’s Behavioral Health Hospital for 4 years and in private practice for 4+ years. During my time at ABBHH, I worked in the Center for Addiction Medicine PHP and IOP program as a therapist/case manager, group therapist, and Aftercare therapist.
