AbdulAziz Syed

AbdulAziz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT). He holds a Masters of Social Work – School Social Work concentration from Governors State University. Currently, he serves as a Therapist at Khalil Center and a School Counselor at MCC Academy. Previously, AbdulAziz spent a large portion of his career in public schools as a school social worker and at Purify Your Gaze, an online platform for Muslims struggling with sexually compulsive behavior. Thus, most of his experience has been with adolescents and young adults struggling with addiction, goal-oriented behavior, lack of life satisfaction, career choices, internal conflicts and more. AbdulAziz takes a Task-Centered approach when working with clients. He believes that every client is an expert on their experience and that by creating a safe, welcoming and warm environment, people can begin their journey towards healing. AbdulAziz is passionate about learning and improving service delivery to his clients. He considers himself to be a lifelong learner and continues to take classes or professional development coursework.
