Dr. Mohamad Ata received his doctorate of nursing practice (DNP) from Rush University in 2017 and worked as a psychiatric nurse since 2012. His medical training includes a residency in psychiatry at Carle Foundation Hospital. He became board certified in psychiatry in 2018. He is a member of the Neuroscience Education Institute.
His medical interests include:
Special populations including deaf, mute, blind, and autism,
Neurocognitive disorders including dementia
Also: delirium, depression, and anxiety.
Dr. Ata believes in a holistic approach to treating mental illness including the integration of Islamic principles, psychopharmacological interventions, and psychotherapy for optimal outcomes.
