About:
Namika Zaman Mahmoodi is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) in the state of Maryland. She graduated in 2014 from Johns Hopkins University with a Masters in Science in Counseling, completing her Post-Masters coursework for licensure in 2016.
Namika currently works as a Career Coach for a non-profit organization known as the Baltimore Alliance for Careers in Healthcare (BACH), which offers healthcare-based apprenticeships with different hospital employers. She also works as a licensed therapist for a private clinic in Baltimore city, currently serving clients via ZOOM for both individual and group therapy. Namika recently joined ICNA Relief Muslim Family Services Program in May 2020, taking on the position of Muslim Family Services Counselor in the state of Maryland. Namika has already built up a caseload of clients from the Muslim community requiring mental health services, as well providing Psychoeducation on topics such as Suicide Awarenees for ICNA Relief. Finally, Namika is also a wife and mother to two children, a daughter who is 6 years old and a son who is 9 years old, with a large extended family.
