Dr. Hind Albana is a part-time psychotherapist under the supervision of Dr. Fahad Khan. She is currently training in the Traditional Islamically-Integrated Psychotherapy (TIIP) methodology and has extensive experience working with children and adolescents. She holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership, Management, and Policy with a concentration in Education Research, Assessment, and Program Evaluation. She received her Master's degree in Human Development, Counseling, and Guidance at New York University Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development, and her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Rutgers University. She worked at The Academy of Health and Medical Science as a School Counselor before moving to Missouri where she worked in the Park Hill School District. Hind was a Counselor in the K-12 public and private school systems for almost a decade before becoming the Assistant Director of the Career Center at Seton Hall University. There she administered instruments and utilized a variety of assessment tools to support student success and development while overseeing and coordinating career fairs. She has conducted research in educational psychometrics, counseling psychology education, power dynamics, mentoring and guidance with cultural consciousness, and student support, success, and achievement.
