Although the initial training of Yasmina Lallemand as a clinical psychologist in France was strongly anchored in the psychoanalytical / psychodynamic approach, her professional experience over the years led her to integrate other therapeutic approaches to better respond to different needs of her patients.
Yasmina Lallemand cares for her patients and ensures that she establishes and maintains a profoundly human and authentic therapeutic alliance: an essential ingredient for the success of the therapy, whatever the chosen therapeutic model, as the results of several researches on the therapeutic alliance clearly show.
Yasmina Lallemand has a good understanding of the psychological and cultural issues related to immigration and uprooting having lived and worked in different countries. Her psychotherapeutic approach is integrative in that she integrates several therapeutic models (psychodynamic, humanistic / existential, cognitive-behavioral) to adapt to the needs of her patients and not the other way round.
It is in Great Britain that Yasmina Lallemand received her training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) which is a proven method of therapeutic intervention, effective for the treatment of the Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other traumas.
In the past ten years, she has been trained in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy in Ottawa with the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT).
Yasmina Lallemand also offers psychotherapy to people who have identified themselves as highly sensitive (or hyper- sensitivity) temperament (please see hypersensitivity).
