I am a psychologist in New York and Massachusetts with about a decade of clinical experience. I earned my Ph.D. at Columbia University and am an Instructor in Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. As one of the only licensed psychologists on the East Coast that is South Asian and Muslim, I am passionate about providing a safe space for those looking for a skilled provider who understands their unique cultural values and life experiences.
As a child of Bangladeshi Muslim immigrants who was raised in Queens NYC, I understand how uncomfortable it may feel to discuss mental health challenges with family, neighbors, or the general community. If you have tried communicating your feelings, you may have been told, "What will people say?" or "Just pray" and felt unsafe to share further.
