Tabassum Rehman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Virginia. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The Ohio State University and her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Central Florida.
Tabassum specializes in the treatment of individuals interested in strength/spiritual/faith based counseling, work/life balance, career exploration, life stages adjustment & couples facing relationship, separation/divorce, blended family, and co-parenting issues. She has proven experience working with adults/couples/groups & demonstrated clinical knowledge in community based consultation/outreach, crisis intervention, and short term solution focused therapy. Her work includes providing employee assistance program counseling, facilitating co-parenting classes, medical case management, school/community based youth services, professional adult detention center visitation, outpatient mental health services, therapeutic social services for faith based community members, clinical supervision of Social Work interns and prospective Licensed Social Workers, and serving as a board member for a domestic violence shelter.
As founder & owner of Serenity Counseling Services, LLC, Tabassum promotes and enhances awareness of prevention, intervention, cultural competence, and healthy lifestyle choices in diverse populations. She is available for presentations, training, and consultation.
