I am Rubina Rahiman, RCT, CCC, a Mental Health professional with over 15 years of experience in counseling, teaching, program development, and community outreach. I hold a medical degree from the University of Calicut (India), a master’s in counseling psychology from Lehigh University (USA), and a post-master’s diploma in family and couples therapy from the University of Calgary (Canada). My expertise lies in trauma-focused therapies, family, and couples counseling. Throughout my career, I’ve taken on diverse teaching and leadership roles across Canada, the Netherlands, Kuwait, and India. I’m passionate about career guidance, advocacy programs, and cultural sensitivity training, with a special focus on empowering vulnerable communities. I am committed to continuous multidisciplinary learning, which enriches my mental health practice. I’m also a proud member of both the Canadian Association for Couple and Family Therapy and the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
